Selena Gomez was photographed in front of a ballot box for the US presidential election. Other celebrities have already voted.
The US elections take place on November 5th, but early voting is possible. Actress and singer Selena Gomez (32) now made use of this. She appeared on Monday in a sparkling red gown that she had chosen for the premiere of the sitcom “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” in Los Angeles.
As the main actress of the mother series, she is executive producer of the sequel to “The Wizards of Waverly Place” and takes on a guest role. But before driving to the event, the glamorously dressed actress stopped at one of the special voting mailboxes and dropped off her voting documents. She then added an “I voted” sticker to her clutch and left little doubt with a blue heart emoji in her Instagram story that her vote went to the Democrats and Kamala Harris (60). With 423 million Instagram followers, Gomez could have a decisive influence on voter turnout. Other celebrities also know about their influence and set a good example.
“The election ends on November 5th”
Actor Kevin Bacon (66) did a dance before dropping his postal voting documents into a mailbox. He wrote about a clip from the campaign: “Officially cast my vote. The election doesn’t start on November 5th, it only ends then. Vote early!”
“I have voted,” singer Lizzo (36) proudly announced. Wearing a Harris and Walz cap and a shirt that read “It’s About Madam Time,” a reference to her song “About Damn Time,” she also made it clear who she was voicing.
According to “People”, the actresses Kat Dennings (38) and Gwyneth Paltrow (52) also appeared on Instagram with an “I voted” sticker. Former First Lady Michelle Obama (60) shared a photo with her postal ballot envelope. She wrote: “I voted by mail! Election Day is less than two weeks away – have you voted yet? Whether you vote early, by mail, or in person on November 5th, you should have a plan.”
