Omar De Marchi left the Secretariat of Parliamentary and Institutional Relations and assumes the Vice Presidency of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

After the Government gets support in the Chamber of Deputies to advance the opinion on Aerolíneas Argentinasannounced the appointment of the Mendoza official Omar de Marchi in the vice presidency of the company.

“This morning, the Assembly of Shareholders of Aerolíneas Argentinas appointed Omar De Marchi as director and vice president of the company’s board of directors,” begins the statement signed by the head of the company, Fabian Lombardowhich made the news official.

Subsequently, he highlights that the former deputy “has extensive experience in legal and business activity, in addition to having held positions in important positions in the Legislative and Executive Branch, both provincial and national. De Marchi held the position of Secretary of Parliamentary and Institutional Relationsoccupying a fundamental role in the negotiation of legislative agreements of the Government with the blocks considered dialogueists during the Bases law. Previously, it motorized the libertarian campaign in Mendozawhere he ran for governor with his own space: The Mendoza Union. From that election, he achieved the election of deputy Alvaro Martínez, who votes alongside the ruling bloc.

Signed opinion in Deputies for privatization of Aerolíneas Argentinas

The ruling party and allies obtained a favorable opinion for the privatization of the company. The intention is to discuss the project before the regular session ends on November 30.

The decision to advance the privatization of Aerolíneas Argentinas was adopted in a plenary session of the Transportation and Budget and Treasury commissions.

On the occasion, a majority opinion was signed, supported by the Freedom Advances, Civic Coalition (CC), PRO, Integration and Development Movement (MID) and the UCRanother from a minority proposed by Encuentro Federal (EF) and dissident radicals grouped in Democracia para Siempre, and a third from Union for the Homeland (UP) in rejection of privatization.

In the case of Encuentro Federal and Democracia para Siempre they propose the incorporation of private capital, but with the condition that the State maintains the majority.
