Sophie Turner is glad she no longer lives in the USA
After several years, British actress Sophie Turner has returned to her homeland. And tells what bothered her.
British actress Sophie Turner is happy to be living in her homeland again after several years in the USA. “Until I returned to England, it felt like my life was on pause,” the 28-year-old (“Game of Thrones”) told Harper’s Bazaar UK magazine (November 5).
“I just never feel like myself when I’m not in London, with my friends and family,” said Turner, who is from the central English town of Northampton. “I was gone for so long – six years – and that was when my friends got engaged and when I got pregnant.”
The Brit has two daughters with US musician Joe Jonas (35), from whom she recently divorced, according to media reports. The bitter custody battle that the couple had is now over. Turner has accused Jonas of illegally detaining their American-born daughters in New York.
The British woman made it clear that she did not feel comfortable in the USA. “In every city we went to, the first thing I did was find a British store and stock up on a month’s worth of chocolate.” Politics also bothered her, such as gun violence and the Supreme Court’s ultra-conservative ruling on abortion. “I’m so happy to be back here,” said Turner.
