No prenuptial agreement: How Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault manage their finances
Salma Hayek and her husband François-Henri Pinault shouldn’t have any financial worries. Pinault is a billionaire – but Hayek isn’t doing too badly either.
François-Henri Pinault is CEO of Kering, a French luxury company that includes the fashion house Gucci in its portfolio. As you can imagine, Pinault is doing extremely well financially. According to Forbes, the entrepreneur has assets worth $34 billion, the equivalent of around 32 billion euros. The 62-year-old has been married to Hollywood star Salma Hayek since 2009. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Hayek has now given a spicy insight into her finances.

Nena and Lindenberg were in a relationship in the mid-1980s, but they kept their relationship secret at the time. “I always dressed up when I was traveling with Udo. Sometimes as a harem lady, sometimes I hid in the trunk,” the singer revealed to the “Bild” newspaper.

When she married Pinault in 2009, how she was viewed by other people changed. “The exciting thing about having a lot of money for me was that I didn’t have to think about money, and it turned out that people just wanted to talk to me about money,” she recalls in an interview with Wall Street Journal” back in time. “Strangers come to me who aren’t even friends, but they think we should be friends because they’re rich too,” Hayek said.
Separate accounts
Unusually open for a celebrity, she also reveals that she and Pinault strictly separate their finances. However, they do not have a marriage contract. “I have pressure to make a certain amount of money and I like that. And now I’ve decided I want to make more,” she says. Hayek believes her husband finds this attitude “sexy.”
Hayek and Pinault have a daughter together, 17-year-old Valentina.
