Jennifer Aniston has voted: The actress supports Kamala Harris and explains her decision on Instagram.
Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston (55) has already cast her vote in the US presidential election. As the actress announced, she chose the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris (60). “I was very proud to vote for Kamala Harris,” the “Friends” actress announced to her more than 45 million followers.
Clear values as a basis for decision-making
In her post, Aniston explained the reasons for her choice. She voted for “access to health care, reproductive freedom, equal rights, safe schools and a fair economy.” She also emphasized that she had cast her vote for “reason and human decency”.
The 55-year-old also used her post to make an urgent appeal to her followers. “No matter who you are or where you live, your vote counts. Your choice matters,” the actress wrote. She admitted that not all people agree on all points – that is precisely the beauty of the country.
Plea for cohesion
With her vote, Aniston also hopes for an end to social division. “Aren’t we all tired of this negativity towards each other?” she asked, criticizing the intimidation and constant threats against people with different opinions. She called for an end to “this era of fear, chaos and attacks on our democracy.”
The actress appealed to her fans to take action in the remaining days until the election: “Talk to your friends, your family, your neighbors.” Their goal is to “find the way back to each other – with respect, common concerns and love.”
Jennifer Aniston positioned herself against Donald Trump and especially against his candidate for vice president, JD Vance, in July. He previously complained about childless women, like Kamala Harris and Aniston.
