Prior to the investment, Reynolds and McElhenney bought football club Wrexham AFC in 2020. They are now said to have given a share of the club to the New York Allyn family. As the medium reports, Reynolds and McElhenney invested in the beer company at the same time in order to “expand the club and its influence.”

As with the football club, they are connected to the Allyn family in the project. The acting stars have joined the Wrexham Lager Beer Company as Red Dragon Ventures, it announced.
