Since this summer, allegations of violence have been made against Mette-Marit’s son Marius Borg Høiby, some of which he admitted. Now the 27-year-old has lost his driving license.
Marius Borg Høiby (27), the son of Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit (51), had his driving license revoked. A spokeswoman for the Oslo police confirmed this to the newspaper “Aftenposten”that Høiby currently does not have a driving license. Since this summer, allegations of violence have been made against Mette-Marit’s son from a previous relationship, some of which he admitted.
Høiby’s lawyer Øyvind Bratlien told radio station NRK that his client’s driver’s license was revoked on medical advice. Høiby is currently not in possession of any weapons, the lawyer wrote, according to NRK. His client agreed to this.
Patchwork family with challenges: these are the Norwegian royals
The eldest son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit is currently in the headlines because of a terrible act of violence: Marius Borg Høiby is said to be a girlfriend “psychologically and physically” attacked and vandalized a room. The woman called the police after the incident and had to go to the hospital with a concussion. The 27-year-old was then arrested at Skaugum Castle near Oslo and released after an interrogation. A shock for the Norwegian court. Crown Prince Haakon reacted immediately…

The police are continuing to investigate Marius Borg Høiby
On August 4th, the 27-year-old was arrested in Oslo on charges of assault and property damage and released the following day. In a written statement, Høiby admitted that he had become violent towards his girlfriend under the influence of alcohol and cocaine and had destroyed things in her apartment.
Since then, the allegations against Høiby have expanded to include, among other things, mistreatment in close relationships with two other women. The 27-year-old denies this. The police are continuing to investigate the allegations. Crown Prince Haakon’s (51) stepson belongs to the royal family, but is not an official member of the Norwegian royal family.
