At the beginning of October, the Argentine justice system authorized the transfer of Diego Maradona’s body, in order to facilitate tributes from both locals and foreigners.
Initially, in May, the San Isidro court had decided not to authorize the transfer due to the possibility that measures such as the exhumation of the body would be requested, within the framework of the trial scheduled for March 2025 on the circumstances surrounding the death. of Maradona.
But in its latest resolution, the court indicated that there was no longer “opposition from any of the parties,” and considered that a “favorable response” should be given to the request of the soccer star’s children.
Maradona died at the age of 60 from a heart attack on November 25, 2020.
