Superheroes are rallying behind Kamala Harris
Avengers in Action: Johansson, Ruffalo and Co. support Kamala Harris on social media with a FaceTime conference.
Kamala Harris (60) is receiving further support from pop culture: Now several stars of the “Avengers” films have also thrown their support behind the current Vice President of the USA in the election campaign.
Robert Downey Jr (59), Mark Ruffalo (56), Scarlett Johansson (39), Danai Gurira (46), Paul Bettany (53) and Chris Evans (47) came together in a fictitious FaceTime conversation. The funny thing begins with the call from Johansson, who opens a conference with her co-stars.
In the course of their conversation, the stars look for a catchphrase for Harris that they could use to support her. Suggestions include “I could do this all day” or “Kamala Forever.” Finally they agree on Paul Bettany’s idea: “I’m Kamala Harris and I’m on board with democracy.”

Some stars posted the video on social media this Friday (November 1st). In a comment under his post, Ruffalo once again urged his followers to vote. There’s a lot to lose this time, writes the “Poor Things” star, listing numerous examples: “Project 2025, women’s reproductive rights, climate change, LGBTQIA+ rights, public education, student debt relief, the Affordable Care Act, Social Security and, as of today, life-saving vaccines.” Ruffalo goes on to speak to his fans’ conscience: “This shit is real, and it will come for you.”
