The trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard made his lawyer Camille Vasquez famous. But he didn’t make them lovers.

It was one of the most sensational celebrity trials in recent years: Johnny Depp (61) versus ex-wife Amber Heard (38). The court hearing lasting several weeks with a “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor who was ultimately victorious also produced a new star in the judiciary – Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez (40). Because she appeared to be intimate and familiar with the actor during the trial, it quickly became apparent that there could have been a spark between her and Depp. Vasquez has now commented on this for the first time and left no room for speculation.

In fact, she was the first to learn from her parents that there was public speculation about a romance between her and her famous client. Now she said: “I would never do that. To make it clear once and for all: I have never dated Johnny Depp. I would never date Johnny Depp. I think he is a very kind person. But he is not my type .”

In the same conversation, Vasquez comes out as a bit of a movie person. To date, she hasn’t seen a film with Johnny Depp – “except maybe ‘Chocolat’.” In any case, she hasn’t watched a second of “Pirates of the Caribbean”.

An impressive personality

But she admits that his general demeanor did make an impression on her. “After talking to him for maybe 30, 40 minutes, I remember having an out-of-body experience, looking at him and thinking, ‘He sees the world so differently than I do.’ He’s definitely using a different part of his brain. He is such an artist.”

The televised trial of Depp versus Heard attracted worldwide interest in 2022. The jury ultimately found that Heard had slandered her ex-husband and awarded Depp millions in compensation. Initially, Heard wanted to appeal. However, in December 2022, both parties were able to reach an agreement.
