Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas: Sweet photos from “Diwaloween”

Priyanka Chopra (42) comes from India, Nick Jonas (32) from the USA. The actress and the singer convey both cultures to their daughter Malti (2). So they now celebrated both Halloween and Diwali – and even invented a new word for it.

Chopra shared photos of the celebrations on her Instagram account and wrote, “Just a perfect Diwaloween.” The post began with a photo of the family dressed in festive clothes. The mother and daughter wore matching red saris while Jonas wore a light brown kurta. Another sweet photo showed the musician holding the toddler’s hand as they walked outside in the dark. In another picture, Priyanka Chopra is seen wearing Malti as she and her family play with golden sparklers. The post also included photos of a long dining table decorated with tall floral arrangements, gold plates and pink napkins. Chopra also showed spooky Halloween decorations in the form of a spider web and an XXL eight-legged creature.

Shortly after, she and her husband shared more family photos on Instagram to mark the festival of lights, Diwali – India’s biggest celebration, which began on Halloween day this year. In the sweet photos, Chopra wore a yellow and green floral embroidered sari set while her daughter wore a matching mint green sari set. Jonas wore a light brown kurta with similar floral embroidery. She wrote: “Happy Diwali everyone. May this year bring peace to the world.” He wished, “Happy Diwali everyone. 🪔.”

The actress and the singer have been married since December 2018. In January 2022, they announced the birth of their daughter, who was born via surrogate.
