Macri traveled to Madrid to participate in the Assembly of the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities (UCCI). During his stay, the PRO politician held various bilateral meetings, among which those with the Venezuelan opposition stand out, Edmundo González Urrutia and with the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida.

Finally, the head of Government celebrated the confirmation of the City of Buenos Aires as the venue for the summit of Ibero-American mayors in 2025. The 2024 UCCI summit brought together mayors and leaders of the most important cities in Ibero-America with the aim of promoting cooperation and sustainable development. The international network was founded in 1982 and It currently brings together 29 cities from 24 Ibero-American countries and represents more than 76 million inhabitants.
