The organization AHF Argentina (AIDS Healthcare Foundation) perform rapid HIV tests at the 33rd Pride March free and confidential way. It’s about the campaign “We are Strong”within the framework of actions for sexual health care and prevention of transmission of STIs.
The objective of this action was to raise awareness about the need to work on the prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI).
What the figures say according to AHF Argentina
According to his own data Community Sexual Health Center in Buenos Aires, between January and September 2024, STI diagnoses increased by 51.5% compared to the same period in 2023. Among young people aged 14 to 24, 80% with a diagnosis of HIV and/or syphilis reported not always using condoms in their sexual relationships.
The best way to reduce the transmission of STIs is with prevention, awareness, education and eliminating the taboo about getting tested. The key is to have information, condoms and STI tests available.

The 33rd Pride March of the City of Buenos Aires takes place
This Saturday the 33rd LGBTIQ+ Pride March takes place, the first under the government of Javier Mileia declared antagonist of this group. One of the slogans is “There is no freedom without rights or public policies.”
Other slogans are “Comply with the HIV, Hepatitis, STI and Tuberculosis Law! No to budget cuts!” and “Comprehensive Trans Law and Anti-Discrimination Law now!”
Unlike other years, It will not have financing from the national government, but it will have support from the City and province of Buenos Aires.
