Tom Hanks on younger phase of life: “It’s such a burden!”

Almost every older person tells younger people about life: “It doesn’t get any better and when you’re young everything is still great.” Not Tom Hanks. During an interview he finds clear words for a phase of his life that he found extremely stressful. It’s actually a long way from where he is now.

The “hardest age” for the actor was, amazingly, from 35: “That’s the moment when your metabolism stops, gravity starts pulling you down, your bones start wearing out, you stand differently – I think “I’m in better shape now,” Hanks said.
