Christmas Eve is in just under two months. Hollywood stars Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson share their favorite Christmas traditions. For “The Rock” one thing is particularly important.
“Captain America” star Chris Evans and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed their favorite Christmas traditions. For Johnson (52), the most important thing at Christmas is family, as the Hollywood actor said in Berlin. “I know it’s very simple, but when I was growing up my father was often away and wasn’t always home at Christmas.”
Johnson’s father was ex-professional wrestler Rocky Johnson, who died in 2020. In the film business you sometimes have to work over the holidays, said the action star (“Fast & Furious”). “So for me the most important thing is to have the whole family together.”
Evans: Used to write letters to Santa Claus with siblings
Evans, 43, said on Christmas Eve he and his three siblings used to decide whose room they wanted to sleep in. “We then stayed overnight in someone’s room and used the old TV with the VCR.”
The fun thing was picking out a Christmas movie to watch together. The Hollywood actor said they always wrote letters to Santa Claus.
Action comedy “Red One” in cinemas from Thursday
Johnson and Evans can be seen in the new action comedy “Red One – Christmas Alert” from Thursday (November 7th). In the approximately two-hour film, the head of security at the North Pole (Johnson) and a bounty hunter (Evans) have to search for the kidnapped Santa Claus.
“Red One” manages to speak to the heart and humanity one should feel during the holidays, Evans said. It’s about remembering priorities. The film was directed by Jake Kasdan (“Jumanji”).
The world premiere was in Berlin at the weekend.
