Jennifer Lopez has had difficult months after her split from Ben Affleck. At Christmas she wants to relax with her family.
The second big attempt with Jennifer Lopez (55) and Ben Affleck (52) also ended with the end of the relationship between the former Hollywood dream couple. Two years after the two got married, she filed for divorce in the summer. Now the singer and actress is looking forward to the approaching end of a busy year.
“Just relax, have fun and create new memories”
Lopez is already looking forward to being reunited with her loved ones for the Christmas season. “It’s been a pretty intense year for me and I’m most looking forward to spending time with my children and my family who come from the East Coast,” says the 55-year-old. The holidays are “a very special time for all of them, and it’s been that way since I was a little girl.”
The singer is “really looking forward to the moments when I can be with my sisters, just relax, have fun and create new memories.” She describes the holidays as an opportunity to slow down and enjoy being together. You don’t see each other all year, so you use the time to catch up on what life has in store. “It’s just a nice time. I’m really enjoying it,” says Lopez.

She loves “all the decorations, the hot chocolate, the music and the food,” says Jennifer Lopez. And she is one of those people who try to make the celebration for her children like something out of a storybook. “I have a weakness for the holidays.”
Looking ahead to the new year, the actress and singer says she wants to expand her creative boundaries. In general, she wants to maintain a sense of balance, but also grow: “I think it’s a lot about a deeper connection to myself and to God.”
Lopez and Affleck met in the early 2000s while filming the film “Love with Risk – Gigli” and soon became one of Hollywood’s dream couples. The couple’s name “Bennifer” was born at that time, but they broke off a previous engagement in 2004 and separated. After several failed marriages, the two made a love comeback in 2021. They finally got married in 2022. In August 2024, Jennifer Lopez finally filed for divorce after just two years of marriage.
