He celebrates his engagement in the Maldives
In front of a romantic backdrop in the Maldives, “GZSZ” star Timur Ülker asked for his partner Caro’s hand in marriage.
“Good times, bad times” actor Timur Ülker (35) and his girlfriend Caroline Steinhof (36) have been a couple for over ten years. Now the parents of two children want to take the next step: During a family vacation in the Maldives at the “Raaya by Atmosphere” resort, the “GZSZ” star asked for his girlfriend’s hand in marriage in front of a romantic backdrop.
The idea for the application came three years ago
the moment Ülker got on his knees in front of his girlfriend. “11 years! I’ve been waiting for this moment!! And finally it was here!!!! I SAID YEEEEEEESSSSS,” Steinhof commented on the video. And further: “Even the proposal is typically us. Timur with a blackout. I’m completely beside myself because it’s just unbearable. And kids…”
As the actor revealed, the idea for the proposal came to him in 2021 when the family was vacationing at the “Atmosphere Kanifushi” hotel in the Maldives. At that time they were sitting on the beach with their own cook, “to my left was my daughter Ileya, opposite Caroline and to my right our son Ilay,” said Ülker. “As I wanted to get up to help Ileya cut, I noticed Caro’s expression: everything had fallen out of her face. She obviously thought that I was going to propose to her now.” Since that moment, the “GZSZ” star has decided to propose to his girlfriend in such an environment, almost four years later the time has come. As Ülker further revealed, Steinhof “cheered, cried and was completely overwhelmed”; the years of waiting had been released at that moment.
The couple met in a shoe store
However, the application almost went wrong, continued Ülker. His son discovered the big “Will you marry me” in the background and wanted to draw the family’s attention to it, but his daughter was just able to dissuade her little brother. “It was a wonderfully chaotic moment – exactly our style.”
Timur Ülker and Caroline Steinhof met in a shoe store in Hamburg where the 36-year-old worked as a branch manager. Their daughter Ileya was born in 2014 and their son Ilay in 2019. It is not yet clear when the couple’s German-Turkish wedding will take place. However, the couple’s dream is “to get married in the Maldives and invite everyone there.”
