Chico and Claudia Obert take part in “Celebrities under Palm Trees”.

Lotto millionaire Chico, reality TV legend Claudia Obert and singer Cosimo are taking part in the next Sat.1 season of “Celebrities Under Palms”. According to its own information, the private broadcaster is currently producing the episodes of the show in a villa at a stand in Thailand and will broadcast the whole thing on Sat.1 and on the Joyn streaming service in spring 2025.

The reality show “Celebrities Under Palms” is entering its third season after a long break. The format is known for stars getting into heated arguments. A blatant argument between fashion entrepreneur Obert and entertainer Désirée Nick in season 1, which was very successful for the station at the time, was legendary. Obert is now taking part for the second time. When they’re not arguing, the celebrities compete against each other in games – all accompanied by lots of cameras.

Season 2 was not under a good star: the recorded show was no longer broadcast until the end because participant Willi Herren died after filming ended. As a follow-up format, Sat.1 launched the reality show “Club der Gute Humor”, the rules of which were very similar to those of “Celebrities Under Palms”. The station soon banished it from prime time to the late night program due to poor ratings.

Now “Celebrities under palm trees – I’ll do anything for money!” with prize money of up to 50,000 euros – and a candidate mix with explosive potential. According to the broadcaster, the twelve celebrities include, in addition to Chico, Obert and Cosimo, “DSDS” star Menowin Fröhlich, model Janina Youssefian, ex-football professional Eike Immel and Iris Klein, reality celebrity and mother of Daniela Katzenberger.

Also there: YouTuber Chris Manazidis, reality stars Melody Haase and Kim Virginia, YouTuber and reality celebrity Lisha Savage and dome show participant Nikola Glumac. Sat.1 has not yet announced the exact broadcast date.
