Attempted break-in at Jenny Elvers – actress is “shocked”

The window was already broken out: burglars tried to get into Jenny Elvers’ apartment. The 52-year-old talks about the traumatic experience in her podcast.

The dark season is here and with it the increased risk of break-ins. Actress and reality TV actress Jenny Elvers now felt this. In her interview with moderator Martin Tietjen, she reports on an attempted break-in that took place at Elver’s apartment in the Lüneburg Heath at the weekend.

Jenny Elvers wasn’t at home

“There was an attempt to break into my house,” the 52-year-old tells her podcast partner. “A window was forced out, really. I think the burglars would have been in my apartment 60 seconds later. That’s something that makes me think: How do I deal with this?” She continues: “I wasn’t at home; if I had been, I would have found it even worse.”

“Many alcoholics have a film break – I remember every second”

She was “really shocked” at the news. “It’s not funny, it’s such a strange feeling. At first I didn’t want to go into the apartment anymore. That’s a scary thought. If someone had actually been in my apartment, it’s such an invasion of privacy that I would move out . Immediately.”

Burglars were able to escape

She’s actually not afraid and doesn’t worry too much about things like that. “I also thought I lived very safely, but they still did it and just got caught. They were too loud.” Elvers has very attentive neighbors, “they noticed it and called the police. The whole program was going on here.” However, the burglars, who only made it to the hallway when they attempted to break in around 7 p.m., could no longer be found. She is very grateful to her “super” neighbors who made noise and then called the police. “They’re really great. It’s a great community here in the village.”

The thought that the perpetrators obviously wanted to get to her concerns Elvers. “I live upstairs, you don’t normally get in there. I live in the country, that’s my home base, I start from here, everyone here knows me.” The apartment has always existed, “even though I once had a second base in Berlin. You know, I travel a lot and film. If I’m away for a long time, a friend or my son is here to take care of it and so that no one becomes aware of the abandoned apartment.”

In order to feel safe, she has of course “upgraded herself even more, but I don’t want to live in Fort Knox either. I’ve already been to the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.” Elvers says she has already bought a motion detector for her cell phone and contacted a security company, which is slowly recovering from the shock and appeals to the audience. “At the end of the day, nothing happened. But we can say here again: Pay attention. For example, what you post on social media.” She likes to do this at a different time.
