Ottfried Fischer celebrates his 71st birthday on November 7th. Despite suffering from Parkinson’s disease for a long time, he hasn’t lost his sense of humor.
Despite his serious illness, Ottfried Fischer (71) has obviously not lost his sense of humor. The Bavarian cabaret artist and actor, known among other things for his cult role as “Bulle von Tölz”, is celebrating his 71st birthday today, November 7th. “On the whole, I chose an illness that is bearable,” smiles . “And I don’t have any pain. That’s half the battle.”
Ottfried Fischer celebrates with Paul Breitner and Theo Waigel
Fischer had already made it public in 2008 that he had Parkinson’s disease. He celebrated his birthday on Wednesday in Munich, as the daily newspaper reports. There was roast pork and Kaiserschmarrn for around 30 guests. In addition to his wife Simone, with whom he has been married since 2020, there were also Munich’s ex-mayor Christian Ude (77) with his wife Edith (85) and long-time FC Bayern icon Paul Breitner (73) with his Hildegard and Theo Waigel (85), former Federal Finance Minister and CSU honorary chairman.
“I thank God for every day with him that we are able to experience together,” Fischer’s wife tells the newspaper. And further: “You should enjoy every day because you never know how much time you will be given.” A full-time carer now helps her with her husband. The nurse is there for the two of them every day of the week and supports them. “It’s a gift,” says Fischer’s wife.
