The celebrities seek distraction from Bambi

Celebrities are also upset about the US election. Jochen Schropp and Co. used Bambi to not think about politics for an evening.

On November 7th, numerous celebrities came to the Bavaria Film Studios for the Bambi Awards. A brilliant evening in which world political events can briefly fade into the background. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, the celebrities explained that they would use the awards ceremony to distance themselves from the US election. “I’m happy about glamour, glamour, glamor and enjoy being able to think about something else,” says entertainer Riccardo Simonetti (31).

The presenter often stays in the USA and is also married to an American. The election result left him “speechless”. “The Lion’s Den” investor Judith Williams (53), an American born in Germany, was also exhausted by the election: “When I got in the car today, I said to my husband: I’m so happy that I don’t have to talk about politics tonight. I need a break as an American.”

Jochen Schropp puts his cell phone aside

After the election of Donald Trump (78) as US President, moderator Jochen Schropp (45) shared an emotional story on his Instagram channel in which he spoke of “fear, disbelief, worry” and solidarity for “every woman, everyone Immigrants and every member of the LGBT* community as well as every person with a good heart. The day after, the moderator doesn’t want to know anything about politics anymore.

“I have to put my cell phone aside for a bit today because it stressed me out. I also decided today not to make any political posts or statements,” Schropp told spot on news. He was overwhelmed by seeing the different attitudes on social media. “I first shared something about it myself and then I deleted it again because I thought, no, people need a break today,” he emphasized.

Thomas Anders (61) can take the election results with humor. “I can handle it. I know one person who actually finds it even more shitty than me – and that’s his wife. So I’m pretty okay with it,” he explained, amused. The pop singer is sure: “We will survive these four years.”
