Kevin Costner in Munich
Bambi Awards instead of “Yellowstone” premiere

In order to accept his Bambi award in Munich, Kevin Costner skipped the premiere of the final “Yellowstone” episodes.
Hollywood star Kevin Costner (69) seems to have set clear priorities on Thursday (November 7th). The actor personally attended yesterday’s Bambi awards in Munich to accept the award for best international film star. “As a director and producer, Kevin Costner is a classic filmmaker and, as a charismatic hero, embodies the American dream, which he also lives himself,” as the reason for their choice.
But in order to collect his Golden Reh in the Bavarian capital, he stayed away from a prestigious event in New York City. Because on the same day the premiere of the final episodes of Costner’s former series “Yellowstone” took place in the Big Apple, to which all of Costner’s former co-stars appeared. These include Kelly Reilly (47) and Cole Hauser (49) as well as Luke Grimes (40) and Kelsey Asbille (33), to name just a few.
Time conflicts again
The irony of fate: One reason for Costner’s departure from the successful neo-western series is said to have been scheduling conflicts due to his film project “Horizon”. Now apparently another time bottleneck due to the Bambi Awards meant that the actor also stayed away from the premiere.
However, it is at least doubtful whether he would have gone to the event in New York without Bambi’s appointment. It is rumored that Costner’s exit from the series was not particularly harmonious. Probably also a reason why the gala was given preference in Germany.
In June of this year, Costner surprisingly announced that he would not be returning to his role as family patriarch John Dutton for the second half of the fifth season of “Yellowstone”, which will also be the finale of the series. The last six outstanding episodes will premiere in the USA on November 10th; a German start date has not yet been set.
