Pietro Lombardi speaks of the end of DSDS – Bushido in the finale

After the allegations of violence against him, Pietro Lombardi’s DSDS exit seems sealed. The 32-year-old commented on this in a video message on Instagram.

The finale of this year’s season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” will take place in Cologne on Saturday. Four men compete and sing for victory. Fans of the format will not only be watching with excitement what happens on stage. The jurors are also a particular focus this year. It will be the last time for Pietro Lombardi to sit on the DSDS jury chair. The 32-year-old himself announced this in an Instagram video. “I came to DSDS as a little boy from Karlsruhe and as a father of three to three wonderful boys, I’m leaving DSDS. Until Saturday, tune in when I take the stage for the last time,” said Lombardi in the clip, which is around three minutes long.

The broadcaster RTL has not yet commented on Lombardi’s DSDS exit. All that is confirmed is that rapper Bushido will be in the final. “The self-confessed DSDS fan wants to make a very special appearance. What exactly is behind it will only be revealed in the live show,” says a press release.

Allegations of violence against Pietro Lombardi

Pietro Lombardi said in his video message that DSDS was always like a family for him and not just a job. “I did it with all my heart and soul. I was always loyal and that’s why it’s my duty to say thank you. (…) I was proud to have been a part of it.” But he was disappointed by “the way they treated me at that moment. I would have wished it to be different. But I never hold that against my family either. Everything is fine,” said Lombardi.

The singer recently made negative headlines after there was a police operation at his house at the beginning of October. There were allegations of domestic violence. Lombardi is said to have attacked his fiancée Laura Maria Rypa, who was then treated in hospital. In an interview with the “Bild” newspaper at the beginning of November, the couple commented on the allegations. “He didn’t hit me,” said Rypa and Lombardi also asserted: “I’m not a wife beater!” According to the “Bild” newspaper, a decision will be made in mid-November as to whether the Cologne public prosecutor’s office will initiate an investigation against Lombardi.

The 32-year-old began his career with DSDS. In 2011 he won the eighth season of the talent show and then pursued a career as a musician. After leaving the jury, Lombardi is still optimistic. He told his fans in his video: “You know me. This is not the end. We have a lot of plans and not just since yesterday. I have big plans for you. All the musicians out there can be happy. This is far from being the end End.” Lombardi promised that he had “an important thing to announce” on Sunday.
