Elon Musk’s daughter wants to emigrate after Trump’s victory – father insults her
Elon Musk is one of Donald Trump’s most passionate supporters. His daughter, on the other hand, as a trans woman, is afraid and anxious at the thought of the new government.
The tablecloth between Elon Musk and his transsexual daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson has long been cut. But now the relationship between the two may have reached a new low. Like many others in the LGBTQ+ community, Wilson had hoped for Kamala Harris to win and Donald Trump to lose.
But now that it is clear that Donald Trump – the candidate her father actively supported in the election campaign – will become President of the United States again, Wilson thinks out loud about emigrating. The 20-year-old wrote on Threads the day after the US election: “I thought about it for a while, but yesterday it was confirmed for me. I don’t see my future in the United States. Even if he does (Donald Trump, editor’s note) Only stays in office for four years and the anti-trans laws are magically not enforced, those who voted for them are not going away anytime soon.” Wilson did not say where they might go.

Wilson apparently fears facing reprisals as a transgender person under Donald Trump’s administration. Among other things, he announced that he wanted to “drive the transgender craze out of schools.” Wilson’s father, Elon Musk, also repeatedly makes fun of transsexual people.

At the age of 17, he emigrated to Canada, where his mother originally came from, to avoid military service in South Africa. Soon afterwards he went to the USA, where he studied physics and economics at the University of Philadelphia. Elon Musk’s mother Maye shared the photo from the sandbox on Twitter and jokingly wrote: “Three-year-old Elon Musk: ‘I can build a truck that’s better than this one’.”

Musk reacted to his daughter’s concerns unforgivingly – even with an insult. “My son was killed by the woke thought virus,” he posted on his own short message platform X. The billionaire had previously used the phrase for his daughter. Vivian Jenna Wilson is one of Elon Musk’s eleven children. Wilson, who applied for a name change in 2022, has not had a relationship with her famous father for a long time – which is probably mainly due to Musk’s unwillingness to recognize his daughter’s gender identity. So he continues to use her old name.
The prospects of the two getting closer again are now worse than ever. The richest person in the world emerged as one of Donald Trump’s loudest supporters during the US election campaign, even appearing at campaign events with the Republican candidate. After Trump comes back to power, Musk could even play a role in the government or at least exert a lot of influence. A perspective that is anything but encouraging to his daughter.
