Georgina Cooper has died at the age of 46. The British woman became known as a model in the 90s. Her colleagues now say a touching farewell.
Georgina Cooper, British supermodel of the 90s, has died. Model and presenter Jade Parfitt (46) shared the sad news with her followers. “Goodbye beautiful woman,” she wrote alongside a series of photos of Cooper. “I am devastated by the news of George’s death. She was one of the funniest, sassiest and most beautiful friends. We all wanted to hang out with George backstage. We send so much love to her son, her family. And friends.”
Other model colleagues expressed their condolences in the comments section. Helena Christensen (55) left a black heart emoji and Jodie Kidd (46) a broken heart emoji as a sign of mourning. Erin O’Connor, 46, wrote: “You were an incredibly loving and kind person. We all admired and loved you so much for the warmth and generosity you showed us all. Beautiful soul, mother, wife. Rest in peace .” Tasha Tilberg, 45, commented: “Oh what a funny sweetheart. Rest in peace.”
“She had plans for the future”
Georgina Cooper died on a Greek island just months after her wedding at the age of 46. At the end of October she fell ill on Kos and was taken to hospital. Her condition was so serious that she was flown to Crete by air ambulance. She died a few days later in the intensive care unit. Her body was brought to England last week. Her former agent Dean Goodman told the Daily Mail: “She loved Greece and told me she wanted to go back with her new husband – she tragically died there two weeks ago.”
She has already felt unwell during the pandemic and developed some health problems, resulting in several hospitalizations, Goodman said. “But she had plans for the future. She had just gotten married and was looking forward to her life. Everyone is devastated. She was a real superstar.”
Georgina Cooper was discovered by a modeling agency at the age of 13. At the age of 15, she appeared in a Bon Jovi music video. She then became one of the faces of the fashion world of the 1990s and was noticed by her gap in her teeth. She is also said to have been friends with Kate Moss (50). She modeled for Armani, Versace, Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Stella McCartney. She later took a leave from the runway to focus on her son.
