In the clinic for weeks because of a serious illness
The 81-year-old had recently been through a difficult time: At the beginning of the year, Carlo von Tiedemann had to go to a clinic due to a bacterial infection in his coronary arteries. In the hospital he also broke a vertebra and caught pneumonia, he explained at the time. According to his own statement, he “just escaped death again.”
After an eight-week hospital stay, von Tiedemann was then transferred to a rehabilitation facility for four weeks before the presenter was sent to short-term inpatient care and was finally able to return home.
