Jennifer Garner paid a visit to her hometown. Her mother and sister were also there.
Jennifer Garner (52) enjoys time with her family. On Sunday, the actress posted photos of an autumn day together with her mother and sister on Instagram.
In one, she walks through West Virginia with her mom Patricia and her sister Melissa Wylie, holding hands and wearing a casual look. All three women smile warmly in the picture and are obviously happy about their time together.
It was also a trip home for the actress: Jennifer Garner was born in Texas but grew up in Charleston in the US state of West Virginia. Her mother still lives there. In other tiles in the post, Garner shows her admiration for the colorful nature of autumn: red deciduous trees, green forests, colorful rows of trees. The actress writes: “West Virginia – you know how autumn goes” and garnishes the post with colorful leaf emojis and colored hearts.
Garner’s father died this year
The touching family photo was taken around seven months after the death of Jennifer’s father, William John Garner. On April 1st, her dad “passed away peacefully” at the age of 85, surrounded by the family. “We were singing ‘Amazing Grace’ when he left us,” Garner said candidly in her post. Garner didn’t lose her sense of humor despite the loss. She noted ironically that she wasn’t entirely sure whether the singing had “carried her father over or scared him away.”
