Disney+ published the trailer for “Argentina 78”, a docuseries of the World Cup organized by the dictatorship

It will be a four-episode docuseries with exclusive interviews with protagonists of that time such as the player Mario Kempes, the coach César Menotti, the Montonero leader Mario Firmenich and the ESMA survivor, Miriam Lewin.

The Disney+ platform published this Wednesday the trailer for Argentina 78a docuseries about the soccer world cup organized in 1978 by the last dictatorshipan occasion where the country won its first star at the same time that illegal repression was deployed throughout the territory.

Argentina 78 will have four episodes in docuseries format where “football, horror and political intrigue intermingle to achieve a unique and unrepeatable story,” Disney+ reported in a statement.

Among the new features are the exclusive interview with Firmenich and little-known footage of the Montoneros organization. where they denounced the repression and political use of the World Cup made by the dictatorship.

It also counts extraordinary archival material with images of the daily life of the time, the fervor of the fans in the midst of the denunciations of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo to foreign journalists such as the Dutch Jan Van Der Putten, interviewed for the docuseries.
