“Let’s Dance” star Ekaterina Leonova was injured during her tour appearance with Detlef Soost on Wednesday evening in Cologne. A health update.
Dance professional Ekaterina “Ekat” Leonova (36) injured herself on stage in Cologne during her performance as part of the “Let’s Dance” tour on Wednesday evening. Celebrity dance partner Detlef Soost (54) accidentally but apparently violently stepped on her foot during the samba. while cooling the injury and limping behind the scenes. Her physiotherapist diagnosed a capsular injury.
In the channel’s video, however, Ekat also gets some good news: “The toe isn’t broken, yeah,” she says happily, “but the nail will fall off,” she adds for the sake of truth. Regarding the accident, Leonova says: “My little one,” as Soost has called her since working together in the last “Let’s Dance” season (third place), “wasn’t exactly small in the samba. I felt his size.” In doing so, she hints at Soost’s misstep. But she “continued professionally as always,” praise the experts from RTL.
Ekat gives toe update
On Thursday morning, Leonova will personally contact her 313,000 followers on Instagram and give a health update in her stories. “My foot and my toe are definitely feeling better. I can stand and walk again, so I’m in a good mood,” she says before breakfast in one of her usual hotel bathroom videos.
That evening she showed in her stories that she was not the only one with a foot injury. Katja Kalugina (31) and she are so similar, not just in name, she says in the clip and then pans to the dancers’ bruised toes.
“Another injury on top of that, but that only makes us stronger,” Ekat writes about the nighttime clip in which the two show off their injured feet together. Both have a capsule injury, the fans then find out. “So we hobble through the show together,” is Ekat’s conclusion. Everything works with painkillers. It’s not that easy to get her out of the show, the brave professional dancer continues to joke.
The next stop on the “Let’s Dance” tour is on Thursday evening (November 14th) from 8 p.m. in the Bremen ÖVB Arena. The final will take place on November 26th in Düsseldorf.
