Oliver Pocher: Is it possible to imagine a birthday with Christian Düren?

In the latest episode of his Podimo podcast “The Pochers! Freshly Recycled”, which he runs together with his ex-wife Alessandra “Sandy” Meyer-Wölden (41), comedian Oliver Pocher (46) also discusses a topic: that has kept the Aly-Pocher patchwork family busy in the past few weeks: the birthday of their older son, who turned five in November. The bone of contention on the issue of the celebrations for Pocher is Amira Aly’s (32) new partner, the moderator Christian Düren (34). What is it about?

Already in the penultimate episode, which Amira Aly has with brother Hima Aly, the presenter talked about her wishes for the special day of their child with Pocher. She wanted her new partner Düren, along with the child’s father Pocher, to also be present and take part in the celebrations.

Her wish, Aly explained at the beginning of the month, would be “to do this together.” Because it is “at some point time to accept things as they are”. Her new partner is “not just anyone, but an integral part of my life and that of my children”.

Oliver Pocher seems to have a not insignificant problem with these statements. First of all, he summarizes the events in the latest episode of “The Pochers! Freshly Recycled” and notes that Aly wants “we all sit together, and that’s mainly about Christian.” Pocher continued: “But, to be honest, I don’t see that.”

His ex-wife “also knows exactly why I don’t sit down at the table with Christian in the current situation.” However, he would like to give “the whole thing a little time”. “I don’t want to be put under pressure to do that with him,” emphasizes Pocher.

In his understanding, Aly “can do whatever she wants in her time, when she has the children. And I do it in my time the way I do it. But you can’t just bring us together.”
