The cult band ZZ Top mourns the loss of their bassist Dusty Hill. The musician died on Wednesday at the age of 72.
ZZ top bassist Dusty Hill (1949-2021) has died at the age of 72. That is what his band members Frank Beard (72) and Billy Gibbons (71) have. Accordingly, the musician fell asleep peacefully on July 28th on his ranch in Houston, Texas. The cause of death is unknown.
“We, together with legions of ZZ top fans all over the world, will miss your presence, your good nature and your permanent commitment,” the two of them continue to write. Just last week, ZZ Top shared that Dusty Hill was recovering from illness on his ranch, but that he was expected to recover soon.

The musicians, who are known for their mixture of Texas blues, blues rock, boogie, southern rock and hard rock, celebrated their greatest successes in the 1970s and 1980s.
