An important topic, as the film business is currently impressively proving.

The sequel to the monumental work “Gladiator” has been running in German cinemas since November 14th. Thanks to its impressive backdrops, the film by Ridley Scott (86) not only revived the sandal film, but in the person of Moeller, a German star also conquered the dream factory and the Roman Empire. As a result, he passionately emphasizes to the news agency spot on news the relevance of craftsmen in the film business – despite the constant new computer effects that set new standards in the first “Gladiator”: “The mega-elaborate film set,” he is sure about the first part , “it would never have existed without great craftsmen.”

Lots of contacts and slight melancholy

Moeller is pleased that Ridley Scott is inviting him back to the Colosseum almost 25 years later and now at the age of 86: “The gladiator still has a fascination today and Ridley Scott is a genius – so it’s good that the film myth is kept alive in this way. ” Since Moeller in the first part “unfortunately […] “Has gone to gladiator heaven,” as he described his heroic death to spot on news, but he becomes “a little melancholy” about returning to ancient Rome without his character Hagen.
