The action star talks about the opening scene of the boxing drama released in 1976, in which a picture of Jesus can initially be seen. Rocky Balboa, portrayed by Stallone, is then hit in the face in the ring. “In that moment he became a chosen one and that’s how my journey began – something would happen, this man would undergo a metamorphosis and change lives, just like President Trump,” the actor said in his speech. Stallone continued: “We are in the presence of a truly mythical figure. I love mythology. […] No one in the world could have done what he did, so I’m in awe.”

The Hollywood star also compared the politician and entrepreneur with the first President of the United States, George Washington (1732-1799). “When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea he would change the world. […] Guess what? We have [hier] the second George Washington,” Trump was greeted on stage by Stallone.
