It is estimated that by the end of this year some 80 million tourists will have visited, including thousands of compatriots who look to the old continent as a better alternative to settle, work and complete personal and family projects.

Landing at Barajas airport always gives that feeling of being at home. Especially in the way of being of its people, the language, the customs, the culture, the way they move in daily life. But they are in Europe, and that’s where the big things begin.

Let us remember that Argentina had its times when it was a power and due to different political situations it stopped being one. In Spain everything works:

  • Transportation: always punctual. It is the second most important in the world after China, with high-speed roads where they travel at up to 300 km per hour in a road network of more than 4,000 kilometers; while in Argentina we need 2 days to get from Buenos Aires to Tucumán. If we move through the city of Madrid, the Metro (subway) network costs 1.50 euros. In Buenos Aires, those who visit us pay 0.42 euros, which is like traveling for free.
  • Tourists: Spain is “invaded” with visitors. It is estimated that by the end of this year some 80 million tourists will have visited.
  • Shows: Under the motto “Come to the theater, live Madrid”, the season opened with more than 300 shows, of which 13 are musicals, making this city a “Madrid Broadway”.
  • Welfare: The quality of life compared to ours is notable and is mainly noticeable in salaries and expenses: they earn on average between 1100 and 1300 euros while in Argentina (in euros) we earn between 600 and 800 euros. This is seen in daily consumption.

Shopping is another of the big differences. For example, 100 grams of Serrano ham costs 1 euro. The difference is even greater in products such as toothpaste, a Colgate triple action costs 1.95 euros while in Buenos Aires you pay between 8 and 9 thousand pesos. Oven-ready pizzas with a wide variety of tastes cost around 3 euros. Filled chocolate cookies, box x 12 units from 2 to 3 euros. In meats, 1 kilo of pork ribs 5 euros. On the other hand, fruits and vegetables have similar or equal prices to our country and beef and bread are worth twice as much in Spain.

A pair of branded sneakers costs half as much as in Argentina (about 90 euros), while sweaters and T-shirts can be found from 2 euros onwards in all sizes and models.
