But he has grown up: Knox Jolie-Pitt towers several centimeters higher than his famous mother, as was seen at the Governors Awards.
Angelina Jolie (49) took her son Knox Jolie-Pitt (16) to the Governors Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (November 17th). Knox, who comes from a relationship with her ex-husband Brad Pitt (60), came back into the spotlight for the first time in more than three years.
Hollywood star Jolie dazzled in a flowing, sunny yellow dress and stayed close to her son as the two walked the red carpet arm in arm. Knox chose a classic black suit and tie for the evening, showing that he’s grown quite tall and looks a lot like his famous father.
The teenager has rarely been seen at high-profile events. His last red carpet appearance came in October 2021, when he attended the London premiere of Jolie’s Marvel film “Eternals” alongside his siblings Maddox, 23, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and his twin sister Vivienne . His older brother Pax (20) was missing on this occasion.
Despite having two of Hollywood’s most famous parents, Knox and his siblings have largely stayed out of the spotlight – a decision that Angelina Jolie has respected. Speaking in October, the Maleficent star explained: “They are particularly shy, very private people and want to remain private.”
Still, some of the Jolie-Pitt children are starting to forge their own path in the entertainment industry. Maddox, and Pax recently worked behind the scenes as assistant directors on Jolie’s upcoming biopic “Maria,” directed by Pablo Larraín. The actress told The Hollywood Reporter in August: “They’ve done it a few times and I think it’s good for them. Pax usually does stills and gets brought in. Pablo was wonderful and realized he was good at it .”
The 49-year-old also supports her children’s creative ambitions with her 16-year-old daughter Vivienne, who has discovered a passion for theater. Vivienne was an assistant producer for the Broadway adaptation of The Outsiders, a project Jolie produced.
The red carpet at the annual Governors Awards of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on November 17th was full of stars and starlets – including Tom Hanks (68), Daniel Craig (56), Jennifer Lopez, Andrew Garfield, Jennifer Lawrence (34 ). The event is considered the first major campaign stop for this year’s Oscar contenders. The recently deceased music producer Quincy Jones (1933-2024) was posthumously honored with the honorary award.
