Luke Grimes: His baby inspires his music
The birth of his son changed everything for musician and actor Luke Grimes – including his music. But it shouldn’t be too tacky, he says just a few weeks after the birth.
Actor and musician Luke Grimes’ second album will be influenced by his young son. The baby is currently “the biggest influence in my life,” said the 40-year-old (“Yellowstone,” “American Sniper”) to “People” magazine. His wife Bianca Rodrigues Grimes announced the birth of their child on Instagram at the beginning of October.
“Having a child changed everything in every way,” the musician said in the interview. “People talk about how your heart gets a little bigger every day, and that’s so true.” It feels like a new love is growing within him. This is “unbelievable and scary because you have more to lose.”
Their son brought him and his wife even closer together. “The way we love each other and the way we have to be a team for the little one has taken us to a new level.” Grimes hopes his music won’t be cheesy, “but I have to be honest with how I feel and we’ll see what comes out of it.”
