Amira Aly on her first love: “He was the male village mattress”
In her podcast, Oliver Pocher’s ex-wife Amira Aly says that she has a penchant for “bad boys”. Her first boyfriend was one, she remembers.
After her separation from ex-husband Oliver Pocher and the subsequent public mudslinging, Amira Aly reflects on her prey scheme in her podcast “Liebes Leben”. In a conversation with her brother Hima, the entrepreneur also remembers her first relationship. According to Aly, she was 16 years old when she had her first sexual experience with a 19-year-old.
Amira Aly: First boyfriend was a “notorious liar”
But her boyfriend at the time was apparently not a good catch. “Unfortunately he was the playboy of the village, actually the male village mattress,” says Aly casually in her podcast. He fit exactly into their prey scheme, namely “Bad Boys”. She calls him a “master manipulator” and a “notorious liar.”
He also lied about the subsequent separation, says Aly. He broke up and told her: “A few months ago, before I knew it was getting serious, I signed up for the Bundeswehr abroad.” A lie, as she later found out when she saw him with another woman. “He was probably cheating on me with her the whole time,” Aly believes today. Her first boyfriend was the only man who ever broke up with her. Aly is also self-critical. She was nicknamed “Heartbreaker” because she didn’t always treat men nicely.
First an insurance salesman, then a “small, lousy guy”: the career of comedian Oliver Pocher
Actually, everything could have turned out differently: After graduating from secondary school, Oliver Pocher trained as an insurance salesman. “Graduated with a four, and in accounting I only got a five,” he said in the youth magazine “Spiesser” in 2007. It could have been clear early on that the job wouldn’t work out. And so Pocher tried his hand at being a comedian at a young age. He made his first appearances on television shows at the end of the 1990s. A fateful moment, however, was his meeting with the recently deceased presenter Hans Meiser. After an appearance on Meiser’s talk show, he was hired by the Viva station. “For that I am grateful to Hans Meiser to this day and forever connected,” he said after the presenter’s death.

She met Oliver Pocher on Tinder
The trained make-up artist started talking to Oliver Pocher on the dating platform Tinder. He is said to have told her at the time that he didn’t want a relationship or any more children. At the time, Pocher already had three children with his ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Wölden. This apparently awakened Amira Aly’s hunting instinct, as the Austrian revealed in 2021. Her friends are said to have described her beginnings as her “ego thing”. “Amira, you’re like a guy,” they allegedly told her. It has always been important to her to decide for herself when to meet and not to curry favor with men too much.
After six months, she said she wanted something serious, Aly recalled. Amira and Oliver Pocher married in October 2019, and their first son was born a month later. The second son followed in December 2020. In mid-2023, the two announced their separation in a joint podcast, followed by a months-long mud fight, which was primarily led by Pocher. They are now divorced.
