Jay Leno is recovering from a fall in which he broke his wrist. He has had several serious accidents in recent years.

Jay Leno (74) injured his face and broke his wrist in a fall. The accident apparently happened when the TV star was staying in a hotel on a hill and wanted to visit a nearby restaurant. Since he didn’t have a car, he walked, according to media reports. A shortcut over a hill turned out to be steeper than he expected. He fell about 20 meters down the hill and hit his head on a rock, he revealed.

“I broke my wrist, lost a fingernail and am black and blue all over,” about his injuries. The presenter, who is currently wearing an eye patch after the accident, said: “I fell. Boom, boom, boom. I rolled down the hill, hit my head on a rock and opened my eye, that’s it.”

“I’m not worried”

Leno said the accident happened just before a performance. He apparently waited until after the show to go to the hospital and receive medical treatment. He doesn’t have to worry about any consequential damage, as he explained to “Inside Edition”: “It’ll be okay, I’m not worried.” He made a similar statement to “TMZ” when asked how he was doing: “I’m doing well – I’m here talking to you,” he said.

The comedian has had to struggle with a number of injuries in recent years. “The great thing about this age is that you don’t learn from your mistakes, you just do the same stupid things over and over again,” the 74-year-old told TMZ.

Jay Leno was hospitalized in November 2022 for second- and third-degree burns to his face, chest and hands. He sustained his injuries in a fire in his garage. He required two skin grafts.

In January 2023, the ex-late night talk star revealed that he had been in a motorcycle accident. In an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, he reported that he suffered several broken bones.
