Also present were Cowell, who managed Payne’s band through his ITV show The X Factor and was very close to him, and former Late Late Show host, James Corden. Other familiar faces could be seen alongside Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy. Following Payne’s death, Cowell suspended auditions for Britain’s Got Talent.

The death of Liam Payne
The singer’s body was flown to the UK earlier this month for the funeral after the 31-year-old singer tragically died in Argentina on October 16. Payne fell from the balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires. Band members, Cowell and many others paid tribute to him, including his ex-wife Cheryl Colewith whom he has a son.
Three people have been charged in connection with Payne’s death by “crimes of abandonment of a person followed by death, supply and facilitation of narcotics”. Over the weekend, prosecutors claimed his friendship with an Argentine waiter could have led to his death.
