Even 27 years later there is still one heart and one soul: The “Titanic” stars Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio attended an event together.
This photo makes the hearts of all “Titanic” fans beat faster: Kate Winslet (49) and Leonardo DiCaprio (50) appeared as intimate as ever in Los Angeles on November 19th. The actors attended a screening of Winslet’s film “Lee” (German title: “The Photographer”) in the “Harmony Gold” film theater together.
There they posed arm in arm for the photographers. Winslet snuggled up to her colleague, with whom she made film history around 27 years ago as lovers in “Titanic” (1998). For their reunion, the Hollywood stars even wore almost partner looks: While Winslet appeared at the event in a black blazer, DiCaprio opted for a dark blue jacket over a black T-shirt.
Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio have been close friends since their global success. “He is my friend, my very close friend. We are connected for life,” the 49-year-old enthused about her film partner in 2021. So it’s no wonder that he also supports her in her new projects.
“The Photographer” is a special film for Kate Winslet
“The Photographer” was released in German cinemas on September 19th. In the historical drama, Kate Winslet plays war photographer Lee Miller (1907-1977), who became world famous for taking a picture in Hitler’s bathtub. It is also the first film that Winslet produced himself.
She revealed that she worked on this project for ten years. “Especially with Lee Miller, I tried to honor other women by showing myself, my face, my physical self, completely openly, just like she always did,” said the actress at the world premiere at the Munich Film Festival important role.
