Angelina Jolie: Her children are all that matters to her

Angelina Jolie (49) spoke about her motherhood in an interview. “It’s my luck,” she emphasizes in an interview with presenter Michael Strahan (53). Nothing is as important to the actress as her six children. That’s why she always focuses on the family: “Everything else can be taken away from me. Nothing else is important.”

Angelina Jolie has six children with her ex-husband Brad Pitt (60), with whom she was in a relationship until 2016: Maddox (23), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18) and the twins Knox and Vivienne (16).

Most recently, Jolie was able to combine her career as an actress with her private life, as her sons Maddox and Pax accompanied her on the filming of “Maria”. In the film she plays the autobiographical lead role of the opera singer Maria Callas (1923-1977). Her children supported the directing team under director Pablo Larraín (48) as assistants. The actress enthuses in an interview that it was an “amazing” experience.

Aside from directing, her children have no ambition to follow their parents into the spotlight. “None of my children want to be in front of the camera right now,” says Jolie. “They are very private. Shiloh is extremely private.” Since her offspring did not “grow up with privacy” in Hollywood, she wants this for them when they grow up.

Recently, however, one of her sons made an exception: At the Governor’s Awards in Los Angeles, California, Angelina Jolie appeared on the red carpet with Knox on November 17th and posed with him for the photographers. It was the teenager’s first public appearance in three years.
