Daniel Craig: He wants to be at home more for his daughter

Daniel Craig (56) made a rare comment about his daughter Grace (6) in an interview. When talking about his new film “Queer” he talked about the role of his child in relation to his career: When choosing new projects, he always thinks about the offspring first.

“I have a six-year-old daughter at home. And I don’t want to be away from home as much as I was in the past,” emphasized the Hollywood star. He therefore no longer takes his choice of roles lightly, but rather deals with the production in detail first.

However, once he has decided on a role, it is difficult for him to leave it behind. Craig often deals intensively with his characters and works hard for the perfect production. “I’m not a method actor, but I’m a nightmare when I’m working. I want to go home and forget everything and just be normal, just say ‘Hey, family,’ but half my brain is at work,” reported the 56 year old.

Grace welcomed Daniel Craig in 2018 with his wife Rachel Weisz (54). He has been married to the Oscar winner since 2011. They both brought another child into the relationship: Craig has his daughter Ella, who is now 32 years old, from his first marriage to Fiona Loudon (56). Her 18-year-old son Henry comes from Weisz’s relationship with director Darren Aronofsky (55).

Daniel Craig became world famous as James Bond. He played the iconic role in five films starting with “Casino Royale” (2006) to “No Time to Die” (2021). His new film “Queer”, in which he plays the semi-autobiographical lead role of the gay American author William S. Burroughs (1914-1997), will be released in German cinemas on January 2, 2025.
