While filming the thriller “Brick,” Murathan Muslu received a diagnosis that changed his life. The actor tells “Bild” that he now has to pay a lot of attention to his diet.
According to his own words, Murathan Muslu (43) almost collapsed while filming. The actor (“Achtsam morden”, “Vorstadtweiber”) was on the film set of the Netflix thriller “Brick” (coming in 2025) with Matthias Schweighöfer when he noticed that something was wrong: “I almost collapsed during the shoot,” said the Austrian “Bild”. “I was completely exhausted and thought it was burnout. I somehow managed to get through the days of filming, but a week later I ended up in the hospital because I had lost a lot of weight.” In the clinic it came out: “I have diabetes. That was a shock that lasted two weeks.” Muslu explained: “It’s been ten months now and fortunately I’ve adjusted well to it. However, I have to be very careful with my diet and take insulin into account with carbohydrates.”
