The fuel sales marked a monthly rebound in October 7.57%but remains below in the year-on-year comparison, accumulating 11 months of decline, presenting a decrease of 8.8% compared to the same month of 2023.

The interannual drop in the tenth month of the year was less than the 11.77% decrease exhibited in September, and was led by Premium gasoline, with a year-on-year decline of 19.55%followed by the diesel traditional, with a decrease of 17.08%, diesel with the lowest amount of sulfur, with a decrease of 3.65%. Super gasoline sales rose 0.13%.


How much fuel is sold per month?
The data disseminated by the portal Suppliers correspond to a report of the Secretary of Energybased on the records of the companies in the sector, which during the last month shipped 1,434,689.06 cubic meters of gasoline and diesel, without counting the figures of the refinery DAPSAcompared to a volume of 1,601,452.68 cubic meters recorded in October 2023.

Regarding the level of fuels sold by company, only Gulf (3.76%) and Shell -Raízen- (1.07%) were able to achieve growth in the interannual measurement, while YPF fell 10.78%, AXION energy, 14.99% and Puma Energy, 12.64%.
In the inter-monthly analysis, all firms in the market improved their sales, led by Gulf (30.27%), Refinor (17.20%) and Shell -Raízen- (13.22%).
Who sells more fuel in Argentina?
The state oil company YPF continues to lead the market, with more than 50% of sales, totaling 770,041 cubic metersfollowed by Shell -Raízen- with a consumption of 364,397 cubic meters (24.9%), Axion with 177,788 cubic meters sold (12.2%) and Puma with a sale of 84,098 cubic meters sold (5.8%).

The report also reveals that in all provinces the fuel consumption during October compared to the previous month, with the highest increase in Catamarca (10.42%) and the lowest in Río Negro (0.76%).
The province of Buenos Aires continues to lead the ranking of highest consumption, with 486,449.14 cubic meters sold, followed by Cordovawith 153,029.58 cubic meters; Santa Fe, with 115,381 cubic meters, and CABA with 97,396.35 cubic meters.
