Gauchos and the BKA – On the “dream ship” to Argentina

A double Lottchen, Sandy Meyer-Wölden as a yoga teacher, undercover investigations and cybercrime. The ZDF “Dream Ship” once again presents a very special mix.

“The land of tango, football and gauchos”: When Florian Silbereisen briefly summarizes platitudes from common travel guides in a sonorous voice, then it’s “dream ship” time again on ZDF. This is also the case this Sunday (November 24th). Then the luxury ship goes to South America, more precisely to Argentina – to that country: the one of tango, football and gauchos.

Captain Parger (Silbereisen) is primarily concerned with one question: Has she or hasn’t she? Did his hotel manager Hanna Liebhold (Barbara Wussow) actually get a tattoo in Buenos Aires? Somewhere that neither the captain nor any other crew member will ever see? Liebhold takes pleasure in keeping her boss in the dark about this. And in fact, this question – alongside the appearance of Oliver Pocher’s ex Alessandra Meyer-Wölden as a yoga teacher – is the most exciting thing the new “Dream Ship” episode has to offer.

Three predictable storylines

Because the three stories on the way to Argentina are – as always – as simple as they are predictable. There’s Lisa Schneider (Joyce Ilg) and her new friend Andy (Kai Lentrodt), who are faced with the challenge of making it clear to Lisa’s father (Kai Wiesinger) that love can also work when her partner and father-in-law are about the same age.

To make matters worse, in Argentina they also meet Lisa’s mother Maja Wolf (Margarita Broich), who didn’t necessarily part on good terms with her father Konrad. Experienced “Dream Ship” viewers can roughly imagine how it ends with Lisa’s parents.

Double lottery on the “dream ship”

But these are not the only two love stories with one or two pitfalls. The third takes place between the kitchen staff: sous chef Isabell Wagner (Nele Schepe) meets the new head chef Leon Müller, whom she knows from before because he once snatched a job from her. At least she thinks it’s Leon Müller.

However, his twin brother Lukas smuggled himself in under a false name. Because Isabell seems much nicer than Leon, she is first confused, then in love. And of course this story about the double Lottchen (both played by Aaron Karl) ends well – and surprisingly, it’s not even the most absurd of the three narrative strands.

This time the “Dream Ship” makers took a bit of inspiration from Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio and their film “Catch Me If You Can”: Cora Bruns (Friederike Linke) from the Federal Criminal Police Office becomes an undercover investigator to hunt down the computer nerd To convict Tobias Bender, whom she believes to be a cybercriminal. But he plays a cat-and-mouse game with her – which isn’t particularly exciting. But tension is probably not what has always attracted viewers to the “dream ship” anyway.
