After their separation, Annalena Baerbock and Daniel Holefleisch want to continue living under the same roof. Other celebrities have already proven that this can work.
It was ten years ago that Gwyneth Paltrow caused ridicule and amusement with a post on her blog Goop. At the time, she not only announced her separation from her husband Chris Martin, but also mentioned that the two were engaging in “conscious uncoupling.” Please what? – many people asked at the time. According to Paltrow, their separation was deliberate with a focus on friendship. They wanted to make their separation as pleasant as possible for their children and continue to function and function as a family. This model has now become normal in celebrity circles.
Annalena Baerbock and her husband want to continue living together
At the end of the week, Annalena Baerbock and her husband Daniel Holefleisch announced that they were no longer a couple, but would still like to live under the same roof. “The most important thing for us remains to work together to ensure that our two daughters can grow up in peace and in a loving environment. Accordingly, we will continue to live in our shared home in Potsdam,” they said in a statement.
An interesting model after a marriage breakup. Baerbock and Holefleisch are not the only ones pursuing this approach. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner also lived in the same house for years after their separation and looked after their three children. The German tennis star Tommy Haas still lives under the same roof with his ex-partner Sara Foster. Foster recently said in an interview that she and Haas no longer share a bed, but have not separated from each other.
Lots of drama, a broom closet and today true love: Boris Becker and his wives
In 1985, Boris Becker was in a relationship with US tennis player Susan Mascarin, who was three years older than him. After his Wimbledon triumph, the then 17-year-old answered on US television when asked how things were going with the women: “Well, there were definitely more there after Wimbledon than before.” Mascarin is three years older than Becker and was also a tennis professional at the time. The liaison between the two didn’t last long.

Other celebrities handle it similarly
An ex-couple who also got along well enough to live together – at least temporarily during the corona pandemic – were Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. Actress Debra Messing and her ex-husband Daniel Zelman separated at the beginning of 2010. However, the physical separation only followed two years later. Presenter Nazan Eckes told the magazine “Gala” some time ago that she and her ex Julian Khol have a different, albeit similar, strategy. “We are still raising the children in one house. Julian and I take turns on site because we don’t want our children to have to constantly pack bags,” says Eckes. If your children were asked, they would probably have no idea that their parents have long since separated. There is also a prominent example among the British royals: Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson have been divorced since 1996 – and still live under the same roof today.
Ten years ago, Gwyneth Paltrow was ridiculed for her esoteric-sounding breakup strategy. Today it turns out that the model of “conscious uncoupling” is not that rare.
