Dieter Bohlen calls himself a bad father
Dieter Bohlen shows a different side of himself. The pop titan spoke about his fatherhood in an interview and revealed that he is already a grandfather.
As chief juror on “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, Dieter Bohlen rarely holds back. When it comes to his private life, however, the pop titan is rather reserved. Now the music producer has spoken unusually openly about his relationship with his six children – and it is apparently very different than many people would expect. “This will surprise many people, but I am the sweetest, most self-sacrificing, greatest, nicest father on this planet,” explains Bohlen modestly. However, he also admits to a weakness.

“I do everything for my children. I drive them to school. There is no answer when they ask me something. That’s why I’m a bad father on the other hand,” explains Bohlen. “Smart books always say that you shouldn’t be friends with your children. You have to show them boundaries. This is very important for a child to gain self-confidence.” But things are different for him. “I have total respect for my children and am incredibly proud of them.”

The most prominent Harksen victim is certainly pop millionaire Dieter Bohlen. He is said to have given “Mister Money” – as Harksen was known in relevant circles in the early 1990s – three million marks (approx. 1.5 million euros) and not to have been seen again for a long time. However, Harksen is said to have later paid him back the money along with a severance payment.

Bohlen apparently only gets strict when it comes to screen time: “That’s the absolute currency at the moment. If you tell them that they’ll only get one hour of screen time today, they’ll be on rails,” says the 70-year-old about his two youngest children Amelie and Maximlian.
Dieter Bohlen is already a grandfather
Dieter Bohlen has a total of six children. The music producer has sons Marc and Marvin and daughter Marielin from his first marriage to Erika Sauerland. The latter made him a grandfather in March 2023. Bohlen has a son Maurice from his relationship with Estefania Heidemanns. Children number five and six, daughter Amelie and son Maximlian, come from his marriage to Carina Walz.
