R&B star Khalid celebrates his coming out
American musician Khalid came out on X after rumors began circulating.
American singer Khalid has confirmed he is gay on social media after coming out on X. The musician started the conversation by tweeting a rainbow flag with four exclamation points. He wrote: “Here you go. Next topic please, lol.”
Responding to comments on his tweet, Khalid further clarified that he is gay “and that’s ok.” He further wrote: “I was outed and the world keeps turning.” He said he wasn’t ashamed of his sexuality, “but in reality it’s nobody’s business.”
Khalid: “I never hid”
Responding to another comment from a follower who said the outing wasn’t a surprise, Khalid replied: “I wasn’t hiding anything! It’s just none of your business.” Another fan pointed out that the Grammy-nominated singer released an “LGBTQ anthem” in 2022 with the song “Satellite.” Khalid also replied: “Thank you!!!” and “I never hid.”
The X-User Hugo D Almonte had previously written about artists with whom he allegedly wanted to have had sex. He is said to have defamed the R&B singer with claims about drug use and lies and at the same time outed him. He is said not to have mentioned the musician’s name, but to have posted a picture of his claims.
