House arrest on a luxurious private island? That’s what Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawyers requested – a judge refused.

Sean “Diddy” Combs (55) remains in custody awaiting trial. According to US media reports, a judge on Friday rejected a proposal that the music producer accused of various sexual offenses should serve his house arrest on a private island. Combs’ lawyers made this suggestion.

“This won’t work”

They had requested that Combs be allowed to stay on the private island Star Island in the US state of Florida. There is only one way to leave and enter the island. The responsible district judge in New York, Arun Subramanian, immediately dismissed this with the words “It won’t work.”

Diddy’s team then suggested as an alternative that he could spend the house arrest in his apartment on the Upper East Side in Manhattan – under constant observation by two security guards. Combs would not have access to the Internet or a telephone except to contact his attorneys. In addition, he is not allowed to receive any visitors other than the team. He would need permission from the court to visit his family. The motion also included a $50 million bond.

A decision on bail should be made next week

A decision on the application is expected to be made next week. This is Combs’ fourth request for bail. He has been denied bail three times since his arrest. The rap mogul was arrested in New York City in September on charges including illegal sex trafficking and involvement in organized crime. Combs is awaiting trial at the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, which is scheduled to begin in May 2025.

In numerous other cases he is accused of having abused, threatened and coerced alleged victims over the years. He drugged her and forced her to have sex for his infamous “Freak Off” parties. The producer, long known as “Puff Daddy” or “P. Diddy,” denies the allegations.
