After 100 shows it’s over: Adele has completed the last concert of her Las Vegas residency. The singer became visibly emotional.
Music star Adele (36) played the 100th and final concert of her two-year Las Vegas residency on Saturday evening (November 23rd). At the final “Weekends with Adele” show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the singer became visibly emotional on stage.
Referring to several concert cancellations for health reasons in March, Adele said it was “the most terrible year of my life”: “I was told it was career suicide and that Vegas would never forgive me for doing something like that at the last second. ” Today she knows: “If I had done the shows that I canceled, I certainly wouldn’t be standing here tonight at my 100th show in the Colosseum.”
The singer became particularly emotional in her speech when she thanked her fans and her son Angelo (12). She joked that she chose the Las Vegas residency “because maybe I fucking hate touring,” but also to make the 12-year-old’s life as normal as possible. The British singer also tearfully thanked her fiancé, Rich Paul (43), for his support. One of the most important moments of the two-year residency was the visit from Céline Dion (56) a few weeks ago, said Adele. “I cried for a whole week.”
Adele has no plans for the near future
Adele continued: “I’m so sad that this residency is coming to an end, but I’m so glad it happened.” The 36-year-old admitted that she will “miss her fans incredibly.” Especially because she currently has no plans to return to the stage in the near future. She also admitted: “I’m honestly scared of it because I have no idea what I’m going to do. I don’t have any damn plans.”
Adele’s Vegas residency started on November 18, 2022 – these were her first concerts since her world tour in 2017. The British singer also played ten concerts in Munich in August 2024 as part of a mini-residency. She announced in July that she would be taking a longer musical break after her Vegas residency ended.
